Innovation Continues for 2017
Oregon Crusaders is excited to announce its 2017 design team, with Program Coordinator Jodie Rhodes joining veteran OC design team members Adam Sage (Visual Coordinator), Dr. Chris Whyte (Music Coordinator), Brad Green (Brass Arranger), Mike Stevens (Battery Arranger), Ian Flint (Drill Designer), and Addison Kaeterle (Colorguard Choreographer). Building upon several years of growth as Drum Corps International’s newest world-class corps, and coming off its successful 2016 program “Hunted”, the 2017 team will also be drawing upon the talents of Cindy Stapleton, Evan Zubkovs and Austin Kain (Choreography), Evan Brown (Sound design) and Trevor Calabro (Graphic Artist/Costume Design).
“Last year we broke new ground on innovation in how the visual design integrates with the musical program,” said Adam Sage, Visual Coordinator. “We will build upon that innovation this year to create a show that will excite performers and audiences alike.”
“With Jodie Rhodes joining this world class team, we feel more excited than ever coming into our audition season,” said Executive Director Mike Quillen. “Everything about this season will be a notch up in excitement, from our design to the demand of the program to the feeling we give to audiences.”
The audition season is upon us, and OC has audition camps in Portland, Houston and LA. Students interested in #OC17 should join our Facebook Interest Group and complete the form at http://oregoncrusaders.org/auditions
