It’s time to meet our leadership team for the 2018 season!
Samantha Ono is returning to the Oregon Crusaders as a drum major for her age out season. She is currently a student at UCLA studying Biochemistry and her primary instrument is the flute. In addition to music, her other passion is martial arts, and she is currently a member of the UCLA Wushu team, specializing in nanquan.
Chasen Young is returning to OC in a new position as one of our drum majors this year, with 2017 being his first OC season as a member of our trumpet section. He is originally from Rome, Georgia and is currently a student at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He is studying Music Education with a focus in Wind Conducting. He also likes to arrange and compose in his free time.
Celena Hu is joining OC for her first season this year. She is from Moorpark, CA and is currently a student at Biola University. She is studying both Music Education as well as Cinema and Media Arts. Her primary instrument is the clarinet.
Gretchen Casel is also joining us for her first season this year. She is currently a high school senior at Carroll High School in Southlake, TX. She will be attending the University of North Texas after the season and will be pursuing a degree in Music Education. Her primary instrument is the clarinet.
