After all the exciting instructional staff announcements, we’re very excited to announce some new administration staff for the corps.
Michael Grimes will be joining the OC team in the newly created Corps Director position. Michael has over 27 years of experience working with numerous drum corps across the country, most recently as the Assistant Director for Legends Drum & Bugle Corps from Kalamazoo, MI for the past two seasons. His experience across many corps and captions, including the Cincinnati Glory Drum & Bugle Corps, Bluecoats, Colts, and Legends Drum and Bugle Corps.
“Having a Corps Director on board is a big step for OC in the management of corps operations.”, said Mike Quillen, Executive Director of Oregon Crusaders. “I’m thrilled to have someone with Mike’s skills, experience, and heart leading the corps this year.”
“Becoming the Corps Director for Oregon Crusaders is a great honor and privilege.”, said Mike Grimes. “I look forward to meeting and working with all of the administration, members, staff, volunteers and design team in order to ensure a successful experience for everyone in the Oregon Crusader family.”
Also joining us will be Ray Morgan as Tour Director. Ray has over 14 years of experience in the Drum Corps activity, most recently serving as Tour Manager for Legends Drum & Bugle Corps from Kalamazoo, MI. Ray began in the Drum Corps activity with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA as a volunteer, then quickly taking over as Tour Director for many seasons. While at the Colts, he also held many various roles such as merchandise manager as well serving on the Colts Booster Board.
